MEN'S AND WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED IN TOP FIVE IN PRESEASON POLL

The Puma Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are ranked in the top five in the USTFCCCA 2024 NJCAA DII Cross Country National Coaches' Preseason Poll. 

The Puma Women are ranked second, just behind in-state rival Mesa Community College. The Pumas have four returners from last year's third-place team at the NJCAA Division II National Championship, led by fifth-place finisher Keira Damron. The Puma Women finished with three first place votes compared to Mesa's nine first place votes. 
 
The Puma Men are ranked third, behind Mesa Community College (1st) and Cowley College (2nd). The Pumas, the 2022 NJCAA National Champions, bring back two runners from last year's fourth-place team at the NJCAA Division II National Championship, led by scorer Jackson Bland
 
The Pumas kick off the 2024 season on September 21 at the Riverside Invitational at UC Riverside in Riverside, CA. The Pumas are led by Head Coach David Barney, who is in his 29th year at the helm of Puma Cross Country.
