The Puma Men's and Women's Tennis teams have both qualified for their respective NJCAA National Tournament next month.

The women secured their spot after a third place finish at the Region I Championships held April 12-13. The Pumas were led by Sophomore Noelani Lui who is now the back-to-back Region I singles champion. Lui and her doubles partner Natalie Esparza were the Region I doubles champions.

The men secured their spot after a close second place finish at the Region I Championships. The Pumas fell to Region Champion Mesa Community College 14-12. The championship came down to the last match of the day where the Thunderbirds edged out the Pumas doubles team, Freshmen Sam Miyata and Bob DeVries, in a three-set thriller.

The women will travel to Tucson, AZ May 7-11 for the NJCAA National Tournament.

The Men's NJCAA National Tournament is May 16-20 in Tyler, TX.
