The Pumas showed tremendous heart in a tough 3-2 loss against Chandler-Gilbert on Tuesday night. After falling behind 2-0, the Pumas fought back with second-half goals from Holly Palomo and Lluvia Gamez but couldn't find the game-winner. The Coyotes closed the game out with the game-winning goal in the 80th minute. Sydney King went the distance in the net for the Pumas and had nine saves.
Despite the result, Coach Uriarte expressed pride in the team's effort and resilience. "Our players never gave up. They showed fight, teamwork, and heart. We'll take what we learned and keep growing together."
The Pumas prepare for their next match against Glendale on Tuesday, September 10, at 7:30pm.
