A new era of Puma Women's Soccer begins on Tuesday, August 26, at 7:00pm, as the Pumas take on nationally ranked #4 Phoenix College. Under the leadership of new Head Coach Guillermo Uriarte, the team is ready to make its mark.
This match marks Coach Uri's first game at the helm of the program after serving as an assistant coach for the women's team and the goalkeeper coach for both the men's and women's teams. Coach Uri brings a wealth of experience and a vision focused on building a cohesive, high-performing squad driven by teamwork and collaboration. "Strength In Unity" is not just the team motto but a guiding principle for Coach Uri and his players as they look to compete at the highest level.
"We know it's going to be a challenge," Coach Uri said. "But we're excited for the opportunity to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the country. This game will set the tone for what we can achieve this season—both in terms of performance and building the tight-knit team culture we believe in."
Fans are invited to come out and support the team as they continue the Pumas' championship legacy.
Kickoff is at 7:00pm at Phoenix College.
