The match began with intense back-and-forth action. South Mountain struck first with an 18th-minute goal by Kenneth Osuna, assisted by Jhoan Soto. The Pumas responded quickly, with Joel Hernandez finding the back of the net in the 32nd minute. Just two minutes later, Ben Rouse gave the Pumas the lead off a corner kick; Joel Hernandez is credited with the assist.
South Mountain equalized right before halftime with a goal from Jhoan Soto, making it 2-2 heading into the break. However, the Pumas relentless attack paid off in the 62nd minute when Gavin Sanchez scored the decisive goal, assisted by Nico White. The Pumas' defense held strong in the second half, with goalkeepers Eric Renteria Duran and Preston Parsons combining for three crucial saves.
