PUMAS FALL TO  BEARS IN LAST REGULAR SEASON SERIES

Game 1: PC 15, PVCC 8

Bats Blistered as Pumas Fall in High-Scoring Game

Scorekeepers were kept busy Saturday during a high-scoring contest between the Bears and the Pumas. Unfortunately, the Pumas lost 15-8.

The Pumas struggled to match the Bears offensively and had a tough time defensively containing the Bears, giving up 15 runs.

The Pumas got on the board first in the first inning, when Carlos Molina drew a walk, scoring one run. PC pulled away with five runs in the third inning 

Jonathan Hyman was on the pitcher's mound for the Pumas. The righthander went three innings, allowing 10 runs on seven hits and striking out one. Michael Modrick threw three innings in relief.

The Pumas collected nine hits. Derek Wood and Austin Woodhouse each collected two hits to lead the Pumas..

 

Game 2:  PC 6, PVCC 0

Pumas Stymied by Bears

The Pumas couldn't keep up with the Bears and fell 6-0 in game two on Saturday.

One bright spot for the Pumas was a double by Michael Keevins in the second inning. 

Brady Welch was on the pitcher's mound for the Pumas. Welch lasted one inning, allowing one hit and zero runs while walking zero. Logan Birch, Carlos Molina, and Danny Carpenter each contributed in relief for the Pumas. 

Jacob Paige led the Pumas with three hits in three at bats.
