Sarah Stemm joined Paradise Valley Community College’s Athletics Department in January 2016 as the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Support Services, where she provided academic and developmental support to foster student-athlete success both in the classroom and in competition. In the summer of 2024, she was named Assistant Athletic Director, expanding her leadership role within the department and overseeing broader aspects of athletic operations and student-athlete development.
Prior to transitioning into athletic administration, Stemm spent three years as an assistant coach with the PVCC Track & Field program. A former Puma herself, she competed for PVCC from 2008 to 2010 before transferring to Grand Canyon University. At GCU, she was a founding member of the university’s inaugural Track & Field program and distinguished herself as an NCAA Division II national qualifier in the 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, and the 4x400m relay (Indoor and Outdoor). She continues to hold the school record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 60.49 seconds. Academically, she was recognized as a member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team during her senior year.
Stemm earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health Education from Grand Canyon University in 2012 and completed a Master of Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University in 2021.
