Brandyn Hayward joined Puma Baseball coaching staff in 2022, specifically to coach the catchers.  

Hayward graduated from Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, CA in 1991. After High School, Hayward was a two-year starting catcher at Pasadena City College before transferring to Chapman College (CA) where he was also a catcher. 

Hayward coached both football and baseball at Bishop Amat (Football 1994-1995, Baseball 1995, 2015-2019) and was a CIF football official (2000-2019). Hayward most recently coached baseball at Horizon High School in Scottsdale. 

Hayward currently resides in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Melanie. He has 3 children; Alexandria, Christopher, and RJ (1994-2009).
