Whellyn Carroll joined the Puma Soccer coaching staff in 2022.

Carroll grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa playing for local teams before venturing to pursue a soccer career in Scotland.  He eventually found his way to the US and played at Northern Oklahoma College and Roger State University.

As a coach, Carroll has coached various age groups and at various clubs such as: NEO FC (Oklahoma), WSA (Oklahoma), TSC (Oklahoma), Rogers State University D2 (Oklahoma), Arizona Soccer Club (Arizona), and Seton Catholic High School (Arizona).  Currently, he works with Excel Soccer Academy.

Carroll has a bachelor's degree in Community Counseling from Rogers State University and a master’s degree in Health & Kinesiology from Northeastern State University.
