PUMAS ANNOUNCE NEW HEAD COACH

Puma Women's Soccer is excited to introduce Guillermo Uriarte as the program's new head coach.  Although in a new role, Uriarte is not new to the program having served as its assistant/goalkeeper coach since 2019.  He takes the helm of a program best known for its three NJCAA DI National Championships (2010, 2012, 2016).

Uriarte brings a wealth of experience and soccer acumen to Puma Soccer.  He is an integral part of the Arizona soccer landscape, having served in multiple coaching roles across the valley.  His experience includes: Benfica Soccer Academy, Head Coach; Willow Canyon High School JV Girls, Head Coach; Willow Canyon Head of Boys Soccer Program/Varsity Boys Head Coach; Arizona Futbol Club (AZFC) Head Coach; and Playmaker Futbol Academy (PFA), Head Coach and Director of Goalkeeping.

In support of his coaching career, Uriarte possesses the following certifications: Level 1 Accredited Interscholastic Coach (AIC) NFHS; Level 2 Certified Interscholastic Coach (CIC), NFHS; National F Coaching License, USSF; National E Coaching License, USSF; National D Coaching License, USSF; and USSF Youth Coaching License.

Uriarte attended Fresno City Junior College, and graduated from University of Texas-Pan American with a degree in Sports Sciences.  Uriarte is also a Veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.
