WOMEN'S SOCCER COMPLETES 2021 SEASON

WOMEN'S SOCCER COMPLETES 2021 SEASON
Women's Soccer finished the 2021 season with a 5-7-1 record.

After missing the 2020 season due to COVID, the Pumas returned to play this fall quickly winning five of their first six games. In the second half of the season, the Pumas found themselves playing multiple games in a short period of time due to COVID protocols the weeks before.  The Pumas played well but came up short on the scoreboard.  Despite the challenges, the Pumas represented PVCC at the highest level by competing in every game.  "We don't count our success by results but by how we step up to the challenges we face every day.  With that in mind, the 2021 season for Puma Soccer was a significant step to returning to the post-season down the road," said head coach Christian DeVries.

The efforts of the women did not go unnoticed.  Freshman Harlee Kuntz was named to the NJCAA Region 1, Division II First-Team as a Midfielder.

The Pumas will take this spring to train and recruit to hit the field in fall 2022.  "I am optimistic about the future of Puma Soccer. We have built a culture where we value the team and players before results," said DeVries.
