CROWDER ADVANCES TO DISTRICT TOURNAMENT

CROWDER ADVANCES TO DISTRICT TOURNAMENT

Taylor Crowder had a successful regular season that ended at the South Mountain Community College Invite at Aguila Golf Course in Phoenix last week. Playing conditions were beautiful the first day but the second day proved more difficult with it being cold and windy. Crowder stayed consistent shooting 85-88 for the tournament.

Even though it was not her best performance, her overall season performances qualified her to advance to the District Tournament being played at Hillcrest Golf Course in Sun City, Arizona April 17-19.

When asked about Crowder coach Palmer said, "I am very proud of Taylor and it's well deserved. She stood out in many ways during the year with her solid ball striking and many rounds in the 70s. I think she was pleasantly surprised to advance to regionals. We have a few weeks to get serious and get the job done. We got season one under our belt, next regionals, and then hopefully a chance to Nationals. She knows what she needs to work on and it is exciting for this opportunity,"

Coach Palmer added, "All of the women had a great season this year. Janell and Stephanie were able to compete in a few tournaments and it was a great learning experience."
