THANK YOU TO WOMEN'S GOLF COACH MATT KEEL!

Puma Athletics announces Women's Golf head coach Matt Keel's retirement from the program following seven years of service.  Keel joined the program in Fall 2015 and spent the last seven years coaching and mentoring numerous local Pumas.

During his tenure, Keel's  student-athletes accomplished:

Seven NJCAA Academic Achievement Honorees

Three NJCAA Honorable Mention All-Academic Teams (2020, 2021, 2022)

One Team qualifier for the NJCAA National Tournament (2021)

Two golfers qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament (Lacie Skelton, 2019 & Megan Smith, 2017)

Keel is an Arizona native, a graduate of the University of Arizona, a Class "A" PGA Professional, the Lead Golf Instructor at the JW Marriott Wildfire Golf Academy.  Keel is also involved in the PGA Hope program. At the national level of the PGA, officials expanded PGA H.O.P.E., a project designed to provide free golf instruction to our nation's wounded military veterans.
