PUMA GOLF’S AMY BOCKERSTETTE NAMED TO U.S. PRESIDENT’S COUNCIL

PUMA GOLF’S AMY BOCKERSTETTE NAMED TO U.S. PRESIDENT’S COUNCIL

According to a Friday press release from the White House, the president announced his intent to appoint Puma Golf sophomore Amy Bockerstette to a two-year term on the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition. Bockerstette is one of 29 people to receive the appointment, many of them prominent athletes.

According to its official website, The President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition (PCSFN), "is a federal advisory committee that aims to promote healthy eating and physical activity for all Americans, regardless of background or ability."

Bockerstette gained national acclaim when video of her appearance with PGA star Gary Woodland at the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open's 16th hole went viral.  In addition to that moment in time, Bockerstette and her family have tirelessly worked with and championed the Down syndrome community, both locally and nationally.

The co-chairs of the Council are former New York Yankee Mariano Rivera, former Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor and former NFL star Herschel Walker.

Well done Amy.  We know you will make the Pumas proud!
