HEAD COACH NICK CANDREA CELEBRATES 50TH YEAR OF COACHING IN THE VALLEY
In a world where consistency seems to diminish day-by-day, there remains one constant in the valley's education and athletics scene.  That constant is Puma Softball head coach Nick Candrea.  As Puma Softball embarks on its 2023 campaign, Candrea embarks on his 50th year of coaching in the valley.

Candrea has spent a lengthy career positively influencing the lives of young women and men as they pursue their love of the game. No matter what game, it's a love he shares with them on the field and off.

Candrea spent 32 years as a coach and educator at Phoenix's Washington High School. While at WHS he was the head of the Physical Education Department and coached football, baseball, softball, and golf.  Candrea was inducted into the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2008.  Candrea has spent the past 17 years at PVCC as a coach and educator.  He previously coached the men's golf team and has been at the helm of Puma Softball since 2007.  All that time spent has been a labour of love, one he's shared with countless others.

There's something to be said for consistency.  Especially in the fast paced, ever-changing landscape of college athletics. There is no doubt the 1000's of student-athletes Candrea has influenced in his 50 years of coaching would agree.

Puma Athletics celebrates Candrea's milestone, and his dedication to Puma student-athletes and programs.  Congratulations coach Candrea, the Pumas are proud to have you on our team!
