PUMAS STRUGGLE AGAINST BEARS

Game 1: PC 18, PVCC 1

Early Lead for Bears Seals Fate of Pumas

The Pumas fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 18-1 five inning loss to PC on Tuesday. 

The Pumas struggled to contain the high-powered offense of PC, giving up 18 runs.

Jazlyn Romero was on the rubber for the Pumas. Romero lasted five innings, allowing 17 hits and 18 runs.

The Pumas launched one home run on the day when Maegan Viramontes went deep in the first inning.

Viramontes and Peyton Krause each collected one hit to lead the Pumas.

 

Game 2: PC 10, PVCC 1

Pumas Lose Lead Early in Defeat

The Pumas fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-1 five inning loss to PC on Tuesday. 

The Pumas struggled to contain the Bear's offense, giving up 10 runs.

Jazlyn Romero was in the pitcher's circle for the Pumas. Romero surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings, walking zero.  Jordyn Cromer threw three innings out of the bullpen.

The Pumas totaled eight hits in the game. Cromer and Romero each collected two hits to lead the Pumas.
