PUMAS CAN’T CONTAIN CENTRAL ARIZONA BATS

Game 1: CAC 22, PVCC 0

Pumas Can't Catch Up to Vaqueros

The Pumas watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 22-0 loss in five innings to CAC on Saturday. 

The Pumas struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Vaqueros, giving up 22 runs. 

One bright spot for the Pumas was a double by Thalia Higuera in the first inning. 

Jordyn Cromer took the loss for the Pumas. The pitcher surrendered six runs on zero hits over one-third of an inning. 

Maegan Ford, Emily Viramontes, and Higuera each managed one hit in the game.

 

Game 2: CAC 12, PVCC 0 

Vaqueros Capture Lead Early to Defeat Pumas

Game two wasn't much better for the Pumas as they fell to CAC 12-0 in five innings.

The Pumas again struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time containing the bats of CAC, giving up 12 runs.

One bright spot for the Pumas was a single by Maegan Viramontes in the third inning. 

Jordyn Cromer took the loss for the Pumas. The pitcher went three innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits and striking out one.

Viramontes led PV with two hits in three at bats.
