PUMAS RECOGNIZED IN UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-REGION TEAMS

United Soccer Coaches announced the 2021 Junior College Division I and II Men’s and Women’s All-America Teams on Tuesday. Sixty total student-athletes (30 men’s players and 30 women’s players) were named to the All-America Teams. Two Pumas were recognized for their outstanding play this season, being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams. Puma Men's Soccer defender Manuel Zambrano and Puma Women's Soccer midfielder Harlee Kuntz were honored with selection to the All-America Teams.

Zambrano, a freshman defender for the Pumas, helped lead the Pumas to their first winning season in 14 years by shutting down the top forwards in the region. Kuntz, a freshman midfielder for the Pumas, helped the team return to competitive play after the program did not participate in the 2020 season due to the pandemic. Kuntz shut down many of the top players in the region while being one of the team's leaders in total points.

This year’s All-Americans will be recognized at the All-America Ceremony and Reception on Jan. 22, 2022 during the 2022 United Soccer Coaches Convention.
