The men opened their season with a convincing 7-2 win at GateWay on August 27 and followed it up with a dominated performance at Phoenix College, knocking off the 13th Ranked Bears 4-2 on September 4. Because of these recent results, Puma Men's Soccer cracked the Top 20 in the United Soccer Coaches weekly poll and received votes in the NJCAA weekly poll.
So far in the young season, the Pumas have scored 11 goals in two games with seven different players finding the back of the net. David Case (3), Alex Huguez (2), Kristian Bielicki (2), Luis Angulo (1), Enrique Arellano (1), Moises Velazquez (1) and Preston Romeiro (1) have all contributeed. Julien Aceves leads the team with three assists. Luis Villegas and Jaden Thomas have shared time in the net to pick up the two wins.
The men return to action tonight at 7pm at Glendale Community College. The Puma's first home game will be on September 21 against Yavapai at 3:30pm.
