PUMAS FALL TO CHANDLER-GILBERT IN GAME TWO OF THREE GAME SERIES

Friday's game against CGCC was a heartbreaker for the Pumas, as they lost the lead late in a 5-4 defeat. The game was tied at four with CGCC batting in the bottom of the eighth when Mason Brunson induced CGCC to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, CGCC tied things up at four.

Sam Lachot led things off on the hill for PVCC. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one. Brunson threw one inning in relief.

The Pumas launched one home run on the day. Dayton Francis had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Drew Kaatz led PVCC with two hits in five at bats. The Pumas were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Gavin Acosta had the most chances in the field with nine.

Game three is on Saturday at noon.
