
Puma Track and Field traveled to Monroe, LA to compete at the NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships May 16-18.
The Puma women got off to a great start on day one with the 4x800m relay team of Jazmin Estrada, Mackenzie Bethancourt, Rachael Bethancourt, and Keira Damron finishing 6th with a new school record of 9:29:81.
On day two of the meet, Estrada continued her excellent sophomore season with a third-place finish in the 3,000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:57.51, earning her NJCAA All-American honors.
On the third and final day of the meet, freshman Preston Parsons got the men on the board after finishing 5th in the Javelin with a throw of 59.90m. Estrada concluded her Puma career with a 6th place finish in the 5,000m with a time of 18:09.96.
The Puma women placed 23rd with 12 points and the men placed T-28th with four points.
