QUINCY ROBERT COMPETES AT NJCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Quincy Robert competed at the NJCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship in Joplin, MO May 21-24 as an individual for the Pumas. Robert finished T-27th at the four-day tournament, shooting +14 par. There were a total of 103 golfers competing in the championship event.

Robert got off to a hot start the first two days of the tournament. Day one was his best round of the tournament, ending the day tied for second place after shooting E (72). Robert shot +1 (37) on the front nine and -1 (35) on the back nine. Day two was just as successful, finishing the day in third place after shooting +1 (73). Robert was +3 (39) on the front nine and -2 (34) on the back nine.

The last two days of the tournament proved more difficult for Robert. Day three, he shot +5 and day four he shot +8 giving him +14 for the tournament.

Robert had 11 birdies over the 72-hole tournament.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College won the team national championship and Grant Greazel from Kirkwood Community College won the individual national championship after shooting -3 for the tournament.
