Pumas Claim Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Cochise
The Pumas stole the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Cochise on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with the Pumas batting in the top of the fifth when Austin Woodhouse drew a walk, scoring one run.

Colton McIntosh earned the victory on the mound for the Pumas. McIntosh went four innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out four. Danny Carpenter and Brady Welch entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Welch recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Pumas.
The Pumas racked up nine hits in the game. Noah Burgarello and Carlos Molina each managed multiple hits for the Pumas. Burgarello went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead the Pumas in hits.
Game 2: COC 23, PVCC 8 (7)
Early Lead for Cochise Seals Fate for Pumas
The Pumas fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 23-8 loss to Cochise on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, the Pumas did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Cochise had 18 hits on the way to victory.
The Pumas put up four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was driven by a single by Cade Kennedy, a sacrifice fly by Derek Wood, and a double by Isaac George.
David Enriquez was on the pitcher's mound for the Pumas. Enriquez surrendered nine runs on six hits over one inning, striking out two. Logan Birch. Michael Modrick, and Michael Keevins each contributed in relief for the Pumas.
The Pumas racked up 11 hits with Austin Woodhouse, Jacob Paige, George and Kennedy each collecting two hits to lead the team.
