South Mountain Bests Paradise Valley in Close Game

Both teams were strong on the mound on Wednesday, but SMCC was just a little bit stronger in a victory over the Pumas on Wednesday. 

The Pumas lost despite out-hitting SMCC two to one.  One bright spot for the Pumas was a single by Anthony Marcon in the second inning.

Zach Rogers started the game for PV recording15 outs.  The righty allowed one hit and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Danny Carpenter, Brady Welch, and Michael Modrick each contributed in relief for the Pumas.

Larry Ross and Marcon each managed one hit to lead the Pumas.
